Description: Here I have explained, how to take Azure Virtual Machine Backup using Azure Recovery Vault. For taking virtual machine Backup I have create one virtual machine and one recovery vault.
- For Backup I have create one VM called webserver1 and upload some test data for backup
- To take backup navigate to RecoveryVault and click on Backup
- Create policy and add virtual machine which you want to take backup
- You can also use OS disk only to take backup of OS drive
- Once backup configured you can take backup now. To trigger backup now
- After trigger backup, you can monitor backup job under backup jobs
- Once Backup will completed you will find it in backup jobs
- Now I am going to remove virtual machine and then restore it from backup
- Select restore point and restore it, Once you select restore point there are 2 options one is create new and second restore on existing. So in our case we use create new one and then click on restore
- Once restoration process will completed you will find the virtual machine
